OVERVIEW
Join the River Stour Trust to enjoy wonderful views on a 3.5 mile walk between Sudbury to Great Henny along part of the St Edmund’s Way and Stour Valley Path. This is followed by a 1-hour boat cruise along the River Stour with passage through Great Cornard Lock.
There is a midway picnic stop at our Visitor Education Centre by Cornard Lock. Free tea and coffee will be available but remember to bring your own packed lunch!
TIMINGS
WALK - Outward Journey
Departure: No later than 10am (The Granary, Quay Lane, Sudbury, Suffolk, CO10 2AN)
Walk - duration: 1.5-2 hours (depends on overall group pace)
WATER - Return Journey
Departure: no later than 12.00pm (The Henny Swan, Henny Street, Great Henny, Suffolk, CO10 7LS)
Arrival: By 12.30pm (Visitor Education Centre-VEC, Dove House Meadow, Great Cornard, Suffolk, CO10 0GF)
Lunch Stop - duration: 1 hour
Departure: no later than 1.45pm (VEC)
Arrival: By 2.00pm (The Granary)
