OVERVIEW
Join the River Stour Trust for a guided 5 mile country walk in Sudbury visiting historic sites including The Granary and three former water mills. The route comprises sections along the riverside, the Ancient Commons Lands and the Old Railway Walk. Interesting snippets of local knowledge will be shared along the way and there is a free tea/coffee at the end of the walk.
There could be uneven paths/muddy paths. Please dress appropriately for the weather and activity.
TIMINGS
Outward Journey
Departure: 10am (The Granary, Quay Lane, Sudbury, Suffolk, CO10 2AN)
Return Journey
Arrival: expected back 12.30pm (The Granary)
Please note: a free tea/coffee will be offered (can be served in a disposable cup to be taken away) or you are welcome to stay at The Granary and sit by the river for half an hour.
PACE:
At the very least the walk section will be at a Medium pace.
FITNESS LEVEL:
Moderate – attendees should be used to walking (e.g. a longer distance, medium pace or a longer duration)

There is free parking in the Quay Lane car park next to The Granary or the parking area past the Quay Theatre. We cannot guarantee spaces in these areas, but the location is within easy walking distance of the town centre and public transport links.
