Details

Calling all teachers and educators!

Outdoor learning also provides interesting and challenging opportunities for pupils to experiment and engage with curriculum topics and can help to develop a wide range of skills including problem solving, communication.

This short CPD session explores ways to take the national curriculum outdoors, offering activities and ideas to get started. We'll also look at some of the challenges experienced in taking children outside the classroom with hints and tips on how to overcome these. We'll try some practical low-cost outdoor activities linked to the EYFS, KS1, and KS2 curriculum.

The session is run by Christine, our Forest School practitioner and Education Lead. Christine works in several schools across the city delivering curriculum based learning to pupils, as well as running our school trips and forest school sessions, here in Rowntree Park.
