A Library card is required to register
Join us once a month at the library for our Homeschool Hangout! This casual, welcoming gathering is designed for homeschoolers and their families to connect, learn, and have fun together. Each month features a different activity—ranging from hands-on crafts and STEM experiments to games and group activities—so there’s always something new to explore.
Our prepared, instructor-led activities are designed for older children (7+), but families with kids of all ages are welcome to join in. We’ll have a dedicated table for parents and younger children, complete with colouring pages, simple crafts, Lego, and more.
Participants will learn the basics of library rules and how to make the most of their visit. We’ll follow with a read-aloud of a book about libraries, then dive into a creative Library Record Book Craft where each child can start their own booklet to track all the books they read throughout the year.
Little ones can enjoy colouring a special bookmark template to take home!
You only need to register children who will participate in the instructor-led activities (7 years old and up)
