Child Wellbeing & Protection Officer (CWPO)

This course is for Child Wellbeing & Protection Officers/Safeguarding Officers/ Child Welfare Officers or equivalent

This tutor-led online sportscotland training will provide the opportunity to further develop your skills to fulfill your role, to explore the types of concerns that may be raised and how to respond effectively.

The Child Wellbeing and Protection Officer (CWPO) Training is suitable for individuals responsible for leading their club or organisation in the wellbeing and protection of children and young people within the sailing, windsurfing and boating community. Learners will have the opportunity to develop knowledge and skills to manage concerns through the use of interactive case studies and group work.

Suitable for: Child Wellbeing and Protection Officers or those in a similar role who are aged 18+ yrs.

Prerequisites: Learners must have completed modules 1 & 2 of the Child Wellbeing & Protecting Children in Sport (CWPS) within the last 3 years.
