The SPA are delighted to be able to welcome Anne Morrison to The Barony Centre, West Kilbride. This will take the format of a half day workshop.
Anne Morrison's demonstration ‘Form and Finish’, will include working on thrown and hand built pots. Anne will demonstrate how to handbuild a large pot with large flattened coils. Then concentrate on the finishing process to incorporate the wooden addition.
For thrown work she will show how to alter and cut the shape of a bowl and a more closed form.
The quality of form and finish of a pot is very important and Anne would like to emphasise this within the demonstration.
We are delighted that we can start to meet more safely in person again, even though it is likely that some Covid safety measures will still be applicable. As they are ever changing, details of Covid related safety regulations will be updated nearer the time of the workshop relating to current advice. However at this time, in order to give as many members as possible a chance to attend the demonstration, each member is asked to attend for one day only over the the weekend, either the Saturday or Sunday. This event with Anne is on Saturday 21st May.
