Details

Our extended tours are designed to cover longer distances (16 miles), take in more scenery and have more fun. By getting out of the main city center and crossing Puget Sound by ferryboat, we arrive among the trees and magnificent greenery on this, our very popular, more physically demanding Bainbridge Island Tour. Plan on some physical exertion as we climb some nice hills. Join us for this five hour adventure. Recommended for fit, recreational and above riders.

Bicycling Magazine named this tour one of the 10 best guided rides in the USA.

Bainbridge Island - One of the crown jewels of the islands scattered around the Salish Sea and Puget Sound. Here you'll discover a magical place where a mere 29,000 residents inhabit an evergreen covered island approximately the size of Manhattan.

The day's itinerary starts early. Riding through and seeing Seattle without the usual workweek energy. We board the ferry (bikes first!) and cross Elliott Bay enjoying magnificent views north, south, east and west on the way to the Island, taking in sailing boats and wildlife swimming and flying around us. After the thirty minute ride to Bainbridge we get our bike legs beneath us and get the heart rate going as we ride up some steep hills to high vistas and down hill to shoreline terrain. Halfway through our trip (and downhill) we make a quick stop for complimentary tea, coffee, and fresh pastries at the Pane d'Amore bakery and Treehouse cafe, chatting a while before continuing back into town. Once there, if time allows, a quick stop at the farmers market is always fun.

Back in Seattle, we follow the downtown Second Avenue cycle track starting in Pioneer Square, passing the Seattle Art Museum and bustling Pike Place Market ending back at our shop.
