Summer Solstice Beach Cacao & Kirtan
A beautiful opportunity to gather on the beach in St Leonards and honour the turning of the year through sacred sound, devotion, and community.
As the sun rises on the Summer Solstice, we will come together at the edge of the sea to open gently to the elements — earth, water, fire, air and space — and to remember the light within and around us.
For those who wish to drink her, Mama Cacao will be offered as a heart-opening plant ally, supporting us to soften, listen, and enter more deeply into the field of sound. Cacao is completely optional; you are very welcome to join with or without drinking.
Together, we will sound the sacred Gāyatrī mantra 108 times in honour of the light of the sun, the light of consciousness, and the awakening of the inner flame. We will then move into other devotional mantras, allowing the morning to unfold through voice, breath, rhythm and prayer.
No experience is needed. Beginners are warmly welcome, and you do not need to “be a singer” to come. You can join with your full voice, listen quietly, or simply receive the vibration of the mantras by the sea.
Come as you are, bring something warm, and join us for a simple, sacred, sunrise gathering to welcome the Solstice through cacao, mantra and living sound.
Full details including location will be sent out a couple of days before the event.
