An evening of performance, music and dance to mark the end of Angel Zinovieff's Material Archive: UKG Cosmology.
Delve into the themes and sounds of SDS’s third Material Archive from Angel Zinovieff: UKG Cosmology – a collection of works made between 2014-2023 that explore personal and social collective histories of the UK garage rave scene of the early 2000s.
A two-part performance will happen twice across the evening. Beginning with an experimental lecture and guided tour, Angel will lead us through the exhibition elaborating on its themes of collective memory, erasure, madness, and persistence. Angel will then be joined by Siin Lee in a collaborative activation of the building, moving with and through the ‘heart space’ as a carrier of history and a place of potential.
You are also invited to dance, dance and dance to Angel’s (incomplete) electronic music archive which takes us through Larry Levan’s synth experiments, the beginnings of house, into UK Garage and beyond.
This event will take place on the Ground and First floor.

Tickets
Our tickets are priced on a sliding scale so that you can choose to pay a price that works for you. We want everyone to be able to join us, and no should be excluded because of financial circumstances.
For this event tickets are offered at £5, £8 and £12, and kids go free. Our recommended price is £8. If you can pay more than £8, you will be generously supporting others to experience our programme and making our work more possible. Thank you!

Siobhan Davies Studios is mostly accessible to wheelchair users, with lifts to all floors. Our main door is power assisted. There are two accessible parking spaces available on site which can be booked in advance.
Please note that our disabled toilets may not be suitable for all users (the toilets in our disabled toilets are 42cm high) and our changing facilities and showers are not fully accessible. Our closest publicly available and fully accessible changing facility is at The Castle Centre, a leisure centre 0.3 miles away from the studios. You can find full details of their features here.
