A 3-day workshop with SDS’s Co-Artistic Director Annie Pui Ling Lok.
Can I still dance?
Do I still want to?
And if so, how???
This workshop explores living and dancing in peri-covid. It takes Annie’s experiences of, and questions around, dancing, parenthood, injury, bereavement, making and teaching – when they connect and when they don’t – as a point of departure. Combining elements of Annie’s work with improvisation, performance, choreography and biodynamic craniosacral therapy, time will be given to acknowledge what has been/still feels missing from our moving and sense of embodiment.
This workshop is suited to all dance artists who have experienced a sense of absence or lack in their dancing during the last 20 months or more.
The studio will be available to all participants from 10am, and until 5.30pm.
Safety
This workshop invites contact between participants. In the interests of everyone’s safety, we ask that all participants take a Covid-19 lateral flow test the morning before attending.
We also ask that you read our COVID-19 page and familiarise yourself with the precautions we’ve put in place to ensure the safety of staff and all our users.
