This course will teach a huge variety of fun ways to create beautiful mono and multi layered prints with your gelli plate. Learn how to set up your space and look after your plate and equipment. Discover how your gelli plate prints can be used in different media including card making, journaling, collage, sculpture and canvases. The classes will cover techniques like mark making, using stamps and stencils, creating ghost prints, nature prints and transferring images. You'll learn how to use masks, registration, water and alcohol inks on the plate.
Materials to bring on first night-
Gelli plate and brayer (some brayers available from tutor. Can be bought from Art Supplies Sthld or Spotlight), favourite 3 or 4 acrylic paint colours, paper towels, wet wipes, apron, pile of photocopy paper, pen & pad. During the term you will build up your "kit" to add to, to suit your project.
