CFSS Overview of Services and Supports 💻

This is an online event.

Joining instructions will be provided after booking.

Details

Community First Services and Supports (CFSS) replaced PCA services and the Consumer Support Grant in the state of Minnesota. It feels like there are still "kinks" in the system to providing these services smoothly. You may be thinking, "I know this! I have been doing PCA for years-why should I take this class?" CFSS has significant differences than PCA and because good services are based upon following state regulations and requirements, knowing how to be compliant is important.

Topics:

  • Overview of the two models of CFSS
  • The scope of services
  • Roles of different providers involved in the service
  • Consultation service providers and agency-provider responsibilities

We will also discuss the process to become a CFSS agency-provider. Whether you are a provider exploring this service for the first time or an existing PCA provider seeking to truly understand the differences between PCA and CFSS, this session is the place to start!

Audience: supervising professionals, managing employees, owners, or executives of a CFSS organization.

CEU Contact Hours: 1.8 for Nurses, 1.5 for Social Workers
