Companies with licensed sites including Community and Family Residential Settings, Day Service Facilities, Integrated Community Supports, and hotels where Crisis Respite is provided require a Program Abuse Prevention Plan (PAPP). This is an extensive document that assesses the vulnerabilities of people supported at the site, the environment, and the surrounding community/neighborhood environment. Importantly, it identifies the proactive and reactive measures to minimize any risks related to the site and vulnerabilities of people supported. Many times, once developed the PAPP is forgotten about. This course will discuss how to write the PAPP and the requirements for orientation, training, and maintaining this important document.
Course Objectives:
The PAPP is a strong document that can thoroughly support people living or receiving supports in a licensed setting. It isn't just another document to do; it can make a huge impact on the services being provided and the lives of those who receive those services!
This session is ideal for personnel responsible for creating, maintaining, and updating company or site-specific information.
CEU Contact Hours: 1.8 for Nurses, 1.5 for Social Workers
Registered participants will have access to the session recording for two weeks following the training.
