Guided, ticketed visits to Lapidarium in the Cathedral's last remaining 14th century Porth-y-Twr/ gatehouse.
See 10th century Celtic Christian carved stone crosses from before the Cathedral was built, gravestone for Bishop killed by Vikings, last remaining part of 1860s Nash west end of Cathedral, double portcullis, opening to medieval underground prison ... and more.

Although Porth-y-Twr is one of the main entrances to the Cathedral, it is rarely available for public access.

Instructions

Meet at the gatehouse 5 minutes before start time of Tour. It is the large archway at the end of The Pebbles, on way down to the Cathedral.
