You will also need to attend the evening Zoom preparation session on 28th June, 7.30pm-9.00pm. During the evening we will cover Scout safety and rules applicable to paddlesports and talk about structuring a session and risk assessment.
You need to hold a recent (last 12 months) Foundation Safety and Rescue Training certificate to attend this permit assessment session.
You will need to plan and run a 30-40 minute paddlesports session in the craft of your choice (canoe, kayak, SUP) for 6 to 8 young people (young people provided) that includes a game or games. You will also have the opportunity to have some coaching on your personal paddling
You will need to bring your own personal paddling gear. If you need to borrow a canoe or kayak you can let us know during the Zoom session on 28th June.
