🌳 Live from the Forest 2026 🌳

🌳 What is it?


'Live from the Forest' is an immersive musical sound journey held in the arms of the forest, loosely based on my album 'Komorebi - Music for the Forest'. 
Layered guitar melodies, ethereal vocals, percussion and nature recordings beamed to you with wireless headphones so you can wander as you please and explore your surroundings. Lie back, move, dance, meditate- whatever you feel like as long as it doesn’t disturb the others.
The uninterrupted sound journey will be about 2hrs. Since the music is improvised with no backing tracks, each event is unique and bespoke for the constellation of people- you co-create the experience ✨

🧭 Where is it?


On Wimbledon Common. A land very dear to my heart that inspired much of the music years ago. 
We don’t have official permission for the event, so need to be discreet 🤫 
We will gather by Caesar’s well at 2pm prompt. It’s a short walk from the car park on Sunset rd. Wimbledon is the nearest rail/tube station, a short taxi ride from there or a pleasant half hr walk. Please make sure you familiarise yourself with the route and location prior to coming so that you are well prepared to locate and arrive in good time. The small car park may well be full, so allow walking time from one of the side roads near Rushmore pond. Also bear in mind that the location does not have toilet facilities. The nearest one is at Fox and Grapes pub on route to the car park.

You’ll be welcomed at Caesar's well by my assistant Lara, who will guide you to the special spot and give you your headphones. There is a volume dial on the side so you can set them to a comfortable level and adjust whenever necessary 🎧

⏱ When is it?


Saturday 5th September, gathering at 2pm prompt for a start by 2:20pm. The sound journey will finish around 4:20pm, with time to end as a group and share some words and food together.
Once again, please do your very best not to be late as you need to be guided to the actual location.

🎒 What to bring?


I recommend bringing something to sit/lie on and drink/snacks. The headphones have a decent range, so you can wander amongst the ferns, dance, climb a tree, or sit near the music. If the forecast changes to rain I’ll need to postpone to the another day, but if there’s just a light drizzle please cover the headphones with a hood or cloth to keep them dry. 
We’ll gather and share some food after. Please ensure not to leave any rubbish 🙏

🚸 Children


The experience is more of a meditative sound journey than a concert. Kids are welcome but please bear in mind that if they are loud near the microphones their sounds will also be recorded into the loops, which will disturb people’s experience. Also, the equipment is fragile and without a proper stage. A polite request that they be further back from the action just in case.
