Swimming Lesson Terms and Conditions

1. All lessons will start promptly at the agreed start time. If you arrive late to the pool, the lesson will not be extended and will end at the agreed end time.
2. Payment must be made in full before the start of the course.
3. All lessons are booked on a first come, first served basis and must be paid for in full. Spaces are not reserved.
4. Bookings cannot be accepted without a completed Registration Form.
5. Ashburton Swimming pool reserves the right to cancel any swimming lessons. You will be notified by telephone, or a message will be left if we are able to do so.
6. Ashburton Pool reserves the right to change the swimming teacher to cover sickness and holiday.
7. Anyone who arrive early for a lesson must stay in the spectator’s area.
8. If there are any signs of stomach upset and sickness in your family on the day of your lesson you must inform us by telephone not later than one hour before your lesson is set to commence and in the case of such notification, we reserve the right to cancel your lesson(s), for the following 48 hours as a minimum, for the safety of you and of others.
9. People with heavy colds, sinusitis, ear infections, diarrhoea, vomiting, chicken pox and any other contagious diseases should not attend lessons whilst these symptoms show. If you have any queries about further health problems, please telephone us. We shall not be liable for you catching any illness or disease whilst at our lessons.
10. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are medically fit to swim. We will not be liable for any accidents or injuries arising from swimming with us that relate to your individual medical condition(s), save that nothing in these terms and conditions will limit the liability of any person for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
11. Refunds for non-attendance of lessons will not be given.
12. For your safety and to help with instruction during swimming lessons, at times it may be necessary for the instructor to support or hold you either in the water or pool surround. By completing the form below, you are giving your consent for the instructor to do this.
13. You will ensure that you will follow the general swimming pool rules and any rules that are specific to Ashburton pool.
