Detaljer

Take on Northern Ireland's highest mountain! Ferry Crossing, Campsite booking, Transport and Guides included.

Difficulty: Very Challenging - Similar climb to Ben Nevis. Please speak with us if you are unsure.

Slieve Donard is the highest mountain in Northern Ireland at 850m. This is a challenging walk but well worth the reward. Ferry travel and minibus transport to and from the starting point is included and it's fully guided.

We will start from Manchester, drive over to Cairnryan in Scotland for the Ferry to Belfast, and we'll stay 4 days, 3 nights.

Accommodation:
Camping - *Pitch Included in price - Showers & toilets on site.

Refreshed from your night's sleep, we will start the walk from the campsite up to the Mourne Mountains at the border of Down district and Newry and Mourne district, N.Ire. It is near the coast at the northeastern end of the Mournes. Intensive glacial and periglacial action has produced bare crags, peaks and rock debris on the lower slopes.

The next day to make the most of Northern Ireland, the BEE Adventures team will take us around to the Giant's Causeway and the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge and more beauty spots, then back for another night at the campsite.

Day 4 will consist of an early pack-up and a drive back to Belfast for our ferry home, we'll then head back to sunny Manchester and home safely.

Height: 852m

Distance - 10km

Time Hiking - 7 hours

Please note: Slieve Donard is a large mountain, it is a challenging walk and a good level of fitness is required. (Similar to Ben Nevis) This hike is not for beginners.
