đđđ Weâll begin with a calming beachfront indoor sound bath and guided meditation. With the sound of the ocean in the background this sound bath is designed to quiet the mind, reduce stress and bring your body into a state of deep relaxation. From there, youâll move into the sauna experience. A perfect opportunity for both first-timers and regulars alike.
đđđ If youâve never experienced a sauna by the sea before we guarantee you will leave feel both rested and rejuvenated. The warmth helps to ease muscle tension, improve circulation and supports detoxification. Many people also find it helps with better sleep and overall mood.
đđđ For anyone open to it, youâll have the option to take a refreshing sea dip. Alternating between hot and cold can boost your immune system and increase energy levels. Even simply stepping into the sea briefly can create a powerful sense of empowerment.
đđđ Weâll close the evening gathered around the beach fire, sharing a warm cup of heart opening ceremonial grade cacao. An opportunity to ground, reflect and connect with other like minded people.
đđđ Held under the Strawberry Full Moon, this is a potent time to release what no longer serves you and reset your intentions. Combined, the sound bath and sauna create a powerful experience to help you feel relaxed, rebalanced and empowered both inside and out.

For the sound bathâŠbring a mat to lie down on, a warm cosy blanket, pillow or pillows - you may wish to bring one for behind you knees to ensure your comfort whilst laying on your back. Wear warm layers as you body temperature will change during meditation.
SaunaâŠIf this is your first beach sauna and sea dip experience, you might be feeling nervous and apprehensive or maybe canât wait but have a few questions. Hopefully our guide will help you.
Hereâs what you can do to prepare and what you can expect:
~Changing Facilities: Are available in Adventure Sunderland.
~Sea Dipping: Thereâs the option to dip into the sea before, during or after your sauna experience if youâre feeling brave! đ This may seem daunting though, and this may be something you progressively build up to. You can enjoy the sauna without the sea dip and on cold days, just being outside the sauna can bring the hot / cold experience.
~What to Wear: Itâs best to wear your swimwear (bikini, shorts, etc.) for the sauna. Please bring your own towel and use it to sit on in the sauna. Water shoes are a must as Roker beach has pebbles in parts.
~Making the most of your experience: the sauna is the unique part of the experience. You may want to have a sea dip and be ready to enter the sauna as soon as your scheduled slot starts (some prefer to heat up then sea dip). You may also want to factor in time after your slot to do the same. Either way, you maximise your time in the sauna.
~Hydration: we aim to be as environmentally friendly as possible and minimise plastic waste. We provide drinking water from a portable container for your own refillable bottles.
~Support: we are happy to answer any questions and support you to optimise your time with us. We can talk you through the sauna and sea dipping and give advice on how to approach your visit. If youâre seasoned beach sauna users and sea dippers and just want to do your thing, we wonât interfere. Itâs your time!
