Improvisers Assemble (Ignacio Grinstein) IMPROFEST WORKSHOP

The power of the group on stage. The more the merrier. Crowded scenes are often a chaos of noise, movement, and indiscriminate spotlights. But how powerful is it to see a large group of people on stage working in unison, or to witness a magical chaos filled with deep listening and respect? This is a workshop to experience those scenes —that wonderful chaos— through devising theater techniques and Viewpoints. We will practice deep listening, group mind, intense collaboration, disinhibition, team work and playfulness.

I am an Argentinian actor, improviser and clown.
My beginnings in theater were in 1999 at the age of 15 years old, since
then I have studied more than 15 years of studies in various acting
techniques throughout different workshops, courses and schools around the
world. In recent years i focused my art on the world of physical theater,
masks and the art of clown studying in Argentina, Israel, Italy and Colombia.
Commedia dell'arte in Italy and different theatrical masks including Jacques
Lecoq Techniques, Balinese masks and others.
The projects I am currently working on include me as an actor-creator
in two performance theater companies in Tel Aviv. Part of a clown and
puppet show. A producer and director of Improvisation Theater. And I am
also an educational clown working on social and emotional learning in
different schools.
Internationally, in the last 7 years, I have been part of the cast of
several international festivals and I have performed and taught in more than
20 cities around South America, Europe and Asia.
