This qualification is composed of 5 modules of learning.
Topics include:
Unit 1: Forest School Programme: Learning & Development
Unit 2: Forest School Programme: Planning.
Unit 3: Forest School Programme: Delivery.
Unit 4: Forest School Programme: Practical Skills.
Unit 5: Forest School Programme: Woodland Environment.
Theory is completed via our E-Learning system and can be completed at own pace (submission within 9 months of the start date).
Assessment tasks will result in each candidate producing a portfolio of evidence meeting all assessment criteria across 5 units.
This course is intended to provide the skills and knowledge required to set up and deliver safe and effective Forest School programmes and for those who wish to become a Forest School Leader.

We accept REACT funded placements on this course upon request. Please note there is an additional £75 charge to cover the additional admin processes related to this fund and trainees are required to sign a learner contract to ensure our fees are covered.
TRAINING DAYS:
You will need to be dressed appropriately for the outdoors as this course will take place entirely outdoors.
There is free parking in the visitor centre car park.
You will need to bring a notebook, pen and lunch with you for the first 2 days of the course. There is also a cafe 2 minutes from the site if you would like to purchase lunch there during the first two days. Teas, coffees and hot chocolates will be provided throughout the course. Please bring a mug/cup.
During observation days of our Forest School sessions, a list of allergy items to avoid bringing will be provided.

You must enrol in our E-learning system prior to your practical skills day. There will be a task to complete before your first day. Please use the link in the booking confirmation email to create your account. You will need to use the same full name as your booking.
