This class will centre around the theme of repetition: We will explore foundational weight-sharing principles, giving ourselves time to discover increasing detail and nuance through the variation and repetition of learned patterns. We will also consider repetition as a creative endeavour for digging deeper. Together, we will explore how it can support us in staying with, or returning to, a moment, a feeling, or an idea as we improvise and navigate relationships with others in the space.
About Lewis:
Lewis is a professional dancer with 16 years experience as a collaborative performer and educator. He has been practising CI for almost 20 years, sharing and experimenting with the form through his teaching for the past decade. Lewis teaches open-level classes, workshops, and at festivals internationally, as well as working with dance companies and in higher education settings.
