Handlers needed for APDT exam

You may know that the instructors at Dig It Dogs are members of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and have been for many years.

The assessment process is rigorous and consists of a Theory, Practical and an Oral board.

The Practical part is where we need your support.

Dig It Dogs are hosting an assessment weekend for new trainers and need some dogs and their owners to form part of the classes for the assessments.

These will be normal dog training classes with APDT assessors observing the student (not you
nor your dogs).

For dogs and handlers of any age and any skill set.

Classes are 1 hour long and whilst easy to participate in we do welcome ALL levels of experience as it's more helpful to the candidate being assessed.

Dogs do, however, need to be comfortable working indoors and with other dogs around.

Only 4 dogs per assessed class and each will be working in their own areas.

Commitment will be approximately 90 minutes on the day.

Remember we are a kind, fair and effective organisation and as such do not allow slip leads,
choke chains nor other aversive equipment in classes.
