An action packed progression session not for the faint hearted. Participant will need to have a few progression sessions under their belt for this one.
You will get to trail with both Claire from Pet Star Academy and Chloe from Ascent K9 (2 trails with each so 4 trails in total).
Prizes to be earnt along the way. Prize for best Halloween costume. Some Halloween snacks will be provided but please feel free to bring some of your own.
Dogs are worked one at a time, therefore dogs will need to spend time in your vehicle between trails and should be happy to do so.
NB: Please remember this is a fun sport and in no way training for operational search and rescue.
Introductions CANNOT be accommodated at this session.
Please bring your usual mantrailing kit a long line of around 10m (not a flexi lead). Dogs must be worked on a non-restrictive harness. You will need 6 pots of your dog’s top reward, big enough for the dog to eat but small enough to fit in a pocket, and a toy if appropriate to your dog. Also a handful of smaller treats like chopped sausage will be required for the warm up.
Don’t forget a non-valuable article with your scent on it. And gloves if you need them. YOU WILL ALSO NEED A MURDER WEAPON.
Also don’t forget your record books. If you need a new one you can purchase them from me and collect on the day.
Head torches will be required for this workshop. Please ensure yours is fully charged. WE WILL BE TRAILING IN THE DARK

Directions: Turn left off A56 as you come into Frodsham, onto Fluins Lane. At the junction at the end turn right onto Red Lane. Take the 2nd right onto Manley Road, the 3rd right onto Simons Lane. Look out for signs on the left at the end of the driveway for Woodland Trust, food hut and a nursery.

Hazards: couple small ponds with stagnant water. Old bunkers (sadly mostly full of nettles so can’t hide in them).
Car Park slightly set back from start of trails so does add a bit of time to the day.
Other Details: This old golf course is a new acquisition by the Woodland Trust.
