Learn to Sew a T-Shirt (Jan 26)

This is a 4 week course where you will learn how to sew a simple t-shirt out of a stretchy knit fabric.

The class includes the pattern and instructions (PDF and printed).

I will have an overlocker available for you to finish your seams if you wish (1 for the class) although most of your sewing will be done on a sewing machine (unless you wish to bring your own overlocker).

The class patterns are the Dawson Top or Jackson Tee from Helen's Closet. The Jackson Tee is unisex so the class is suitable for anyone.

I will show you the steps needed to set up your machine for stretchy fabric, cut your fabric and get started sewing. Once you are underway you will be following the pattern instructions but I will help you with every step as needed.

Suitable for: Beginners or anyone who would like to build their confidence with using sewing patterns or sewing stretchy fabric. I welcome absolute beginners, but you may need to do a bit of sewing outside of class to finish your t-shirt.
