We are delighted to announce that the 2026 Fisheries Management Scotland Annual conference will be held on 11 November at Norton House Hotel & Spa, Edinburgh. This is an opportunity for our community to come together with key stakeholders to stimulate conversation, debate and action to protect and restore our rivers, and the vital species that rely on them. Our conference allows us to showcase examples of the wide range of local, regional and national action being delivered by our members and partners.
Our conference theme this year is "Shared Waters: Shared Challenges - From Pressures to Progress”. Improving rivers and fisheries is a shared challenge that requires shared responsibility. Lasting progress will only be achieved through collaboration, learning from one another and working across sectors, disciplines and borders. The event will feature interactive workshops and engaging talks, offering hands-on opportunities to explore innovative solutions, exchange ideas, and collaborate on real-world challenges in fisheries and river management.
The event programme will be circulated in due course.
The delegate fee of £50 includes refreshments and lunch.
Due to a lack of accommodation at Norton House, we have held rooms at the nearby Dalmahoy Hotel & Country Club at a rate of £140 B&B. There are limited rooms available, therefore we recommend you book as soon as possible by emailing reservations@dalmahoy.co.uk, or calling 0131 333 1845 (option 1). The booking code is FISH140826. . There will be a shuttle bus available at key times to move between properties if required, as well as ample on-site parking.
There are various alternative properties in the surrounding area.
We look forward to seeing you all at this year's conference!
