Celebrate Lunar New Year with a craft and movement workshop for adults and children!
In this afternoon session, Taiwanese movement facilitator Yuyu Rau offers a unique take on the Lion dance – a traditional part of Chinese and Asian cultures, symbolising good luck and fortune, especially during Lunar New Year.
In a creative twist on this cherished custom, we’re inviting adults and children alike to collaborate in crafting our own lion heads, learn the basic steps of the Lion Dance and create their own vibrant choreography together.

Siobhan Davies Studios is mostly accessible to wheelchair users, with lifts to all floors. Our main door is power assisted. There are two accessible parking spaces available on site which can be booked in advance.
Please note that our disabled toilets may not be suitable for all users (the toilets in our disabled toilets are 42cm high) and our changing facilities and showers are not fully accessible. Our closest publicly available and fully accessible changing facility is at The Castle Centre, a leisure centre 0.3 miles away from the studios. You can find full details of their features here.
