Join us at dawn for EMOTION, the extraordinary finale to a series of community workshops.
EMOTION brings together participants from our communities to create a performance. We will have been exploring thresholds and cycles of birth, life and death. Working with movement and voice, we will attempt to express the inexpressible and touch the edges of experiences that change us forever. EMOTION brings performers and audience together at the tender and very special time of dawn, starting in semi-darkness, ending with a new day.
Participants will have joined our Co-Artistic Director Annie Pui Ling Lok, Juan Ayala, Moyra Cecilia Silva Rodriguez, Sasha Mahfouz Shadid and Andreas Levisianos for up to eight workshops ahead of the performance. They will have worked with movement influenced by krumping, hip hop, martial arts, theatre-making, voice work/singing, contact improvisation and contemporary dance. For many it will be their first time performing.

Event Schedule
The performance will start at dawn, 4am, and run for approximately 1 hour.
After the performance, we invite you to join us for breakfast. There will be free food and hot and cold drinks.

Our tickets are priced on a sliding scale so that you can choose to pay a price that works for you. We want everyone to be able to join us, and no one should be excluded because of financial circumstances. Siobhan Davies Studios

Siobhan Davies Studios is mostly accessible to wheelchair users, with lifts to all floors. Our main door is power assisted. There are two accessible parking spaces available on site which can be booked in advance.
Please note that our disabled toilets may not be suitable for all users (the toilets in our disabled toilets are 42cm high) and our changing facilities and showers are not fully accessible. Our closest publicly available and fully accessible changing facility is at The Castle Centre, a leisure centre 0.3 miles away from the studios. You can find full details of their features here.
