YOUR TURN: Creative Writing Circle

Part of our year-long programme of seasonal opportunities for wellbeing.

Join this circle to explore motherhood through playful writing with a supportive circle of other mothers. We'll start with tea and a brief sharing circle: a chance to speak (as much or as little as you'd like!) and to listen. Then we'll move into writing exercises and exploration of poetry. These are designed to unlock your creativity and make space for play in your busy days. There will be guided prompts and no experience is necessary - even if you haven't done any creative writing since school! At the end of the session you have the opportunity to share a little about what you've written, if you'd like to.

Thanks to a phenomenal crowd funding campaign and a contribution from Stroud District Council, these sessions are offered on a totally sliding scale: if you are able to contribute to running costs, you can (and this will help us run the sessions for longer) - a donation of £12 covers the cost of a space completely. But if you need to attend completely free of charge you can do that too, and there are an unlimited number of these community spaces available.

Please note: this session is for mothers only and we are not currently in a position to offer childcare alongside sessions. If a lack of childcare would make it difficult for you to attend, but you are keen to attend one or more of these sessions, please contact us and we can put you in touch with other mothers in a similar situation, who might be interested in arranging an informal childcare swap.
