For beginners: These classes provide an insight into the possibilities of working with clay.
Weeks 1-4 you will be introduced to different techniques such as hand building, throwing and decorating through demonstrations and plenty of hands on exercises.
Week 5 you will be taken through the glazing process and glaze the work you have made. These sessions will be held in the class area of The Kiln Rooms where we like to create a comfortable, fun environment for everyone to enjoy.
No need to bring anything with you as we’ll provide all materials, tools, aprons and equipment needed.
A course costs £240 per person and this includes all materials and firings, meaning that there are no additional costs. This course will take place between 6.30pm - 9.30pm on Thursdays at our Copeland Park studio in Peckham.
If you miss a class or arrive late, we are unable to reschedule sessions or provide alternative studio time, as courses run at fixed times to cover the cost of tuition. If you are unable to attend the final week of the taster course (glazing week) we will glaze your work in transparent glaze for you.
Refunds:
Cancellations made 20 days or more before the start date receive a full refund (minus a £5 booking fee). Between 20 and 10 days before the start date, 50% of fees will be refunded (minus booking fee). No refunds are available within 9 days of the start date or once the course has begun.

Unit 3 is opposite the bar 'SOCIAL' and has a mural on the wall outside. There are 2 entrances and the teaching space is the far entrance to the right when you arrive, but we'll have signage directing you.

The studio is 200 meters from Peckham Rye station. As well as the Overground it’s only 11 minutes from London Bridge or 12 minutes from Victoria by train.
There are also plenty of bus routes: 12, 37, 63, 78, 197, 343, 363, N63, N343, P12 and P13.
