Under the Sea - crayon and watercolour art

This is a children's class aimed for those aged 8-12 who are interested in doing some art over the summer. The children will create "under the sea” themed art using a wax-resist technique. They'll begin by doing a small practice drawing with crayons and then painting over the drawings with watercolours. The crayon lines resist the paint, staying visible while the watercolour fills the spaces around them. They’ll then go on to use their complete creativity to create their very own magical ocean world using the same technique. The aim is to explore positive and negative space, layering colours, and using their imaginations to create a mythical underwater kingdom.
