MEWPs for Managers is aimed at those who plan, supervise or manage work at height with Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs). This course is completed via eLearning.
Companies that use MEWPs need to know what their management and legal responsibilities are and how to ensure the most effective use of MEWPs. This course covers what managers need to know for safe and effective use of MEWPs on site, including planning the job, conducting a risk assessment, selecting the right equipment for optimum cost-efficiency and mitigating all possible risks.
In most countries there is a requirement for employers to train all employees who plan, supervise or manage work at height and the use of equipment for such work.

Who should take this course?
Employers, project managers, foremen and supervisors working in a broad range of industries such as construction, facilities management, retail, airports and arboriculture. Anyone who is responsible for planning and overseeing the use of MEWPs on their job site.
Qualification
This course is about planning, supervising and managing the use of MEWPs, and not about operating equipment. It ends with a written test that candidates must pass. Upon successful completion of the theory test, candidates will receive an IPAF certificate. Those who hold a valid Powered Access Licence for operating equipment can have the MEWPs for Managers (MM) category added to their PAL Card.
eLearning
The eLearning version of the IPAF MEWPs for Managers course enables candidates to undertake the tuition in convenient sections and pass the online course at a time and place of their choosing, on compatible PCs and tablet devices. It utilises sophisticated facial recognition across the online training and evaluation session to ensure the candidate’s identity and to prevent any attempt to obtain the qualification through fraudulent means.

The course must be completed on a desktop PC, laptop, or large tablet, not a mobile phone.
The device must have a camera enabled for facial recognition.
A stable internet connection is essential.
Individual Training:
Candidates must agree to be photographed for facial recognition.
The course must be completed individually, without assistance from others.
Course Completion:
A written test must be passed to successfully complete the course.
Upon successful completion, candidates receive an IPAF certificate.
