Our Forest School Afterschool Club offers children a fun and engaging outdoor experience where they can explore nature, build confidence, and develop new skills. Through hands-on activities like den building, nature crafts, and team games, children enjoy the freedom to play and learn in a safe woodland environment. Rain or shine, we embrace the outdoors and encourage curiosity, creativity, and a love for the natural world.
To help your child get the most out of their sessions, please read the following:
🧥 Clothing
Children must come dressed for the weather – we go outside in all conditions unless its unsafe to do so.
Please ensure your child wears:
• Waterproof coat and trousers
• Long-sleeved top and long trousers (for bramble/nettle protection)
• Warm layers in cold weather
• Hat and gloves (winter) / sunhat (summer)
• Sturdy footwear (wellies or boots)
A spare set of clothes and socks in a named bag is strongly recommended.
🥪 Snacks & Drinks
• A light snack and drink will be provided.
Please let us know about any allergies or dietary needs.
🕒 Timings
• The club runs 3.15pm – 4.30pm.
• Thursday 11th September – Thursday 11th December 2025 (13 sessions)
• Please collect your child at 4.30pm from front gate by reception.
📋 Permissions & Contact Info
Ensure we have your child’s completed consent form and up-to-date emergency contact details.
⚠️ Safety
Forest School is risk-aware, not risk-averse – all activities are thoroughly risk assessed and supervised.
Children are encouraged to explore and take appropriate risks in a safe, supportive environment.
