Learn to Lead Trad Climbs is a practical workshop for climbers ready to progress from seconding or sport climbing to placing their own protection on traditional routes. Participants will develop core skills including gear selection and placement, building secure anchors, managing ropes and extensions, and assessing rock quality and route choices. With guidance from an experienced instructor, the session emphasises risk management, clear communication, and steady decision-making to build confidence while leading. Whether you’re preparing for your first independent trad lead or seeking to refine your foundational techniques, this workshop equips you with the knowledge and hands-on experience needed to climb safely and effectively on natural gear.
