Worthing Airsoft is back with its Wild West themed event at their woodland site on the south coast in West Sussex.

Legend has it that One-Eyed Farello hid his fortune somewhere on this land before taking the secret of its location to the grave.
Now the clues have surfaced.
Two rival gangs. One hidden fortune. And a whole lot of shooting between you and the gold.
Dead Man’s Lode is a full-day Wild West themed airsoft game — simple objectives, plenty of firefights and no complicated roleplay required.
THE MORNING — HUNT FOR THE LODE
Fight your way across the site, capture objectives and recover the clues that will eventually reveal the location of One-Eyed Farello’s legendary treasure.
Every clue moves the fight to another part of the site.
Find the clues. Follow the trail. Discover the Lode.
THE AFTERNOON — CLAIM THE LODE
Once Dead Man’s Lode has been discovered, the treasure hunt becomes an all-out fight for possession.
Capture the Lode, raise your gang’s colours and defend it against the enemy.
Control changes hands? Their time starts.
Take it back? Yours starts again.
Hold Dead Man’s Lode for the required cumulative time and your gang wins the day.
WESTERN KIT & GUNS
This is a Wild West themed game, so players need to look the part.
Cowboy, outlaw, lawman, rancher, mountain man, gunslinger — we’re not expecting Hollywood costume accuracy, but modern tactical loadouts aren’t what this game is about.
Weapons should also suit the setting and style of play:
Revolvers • Lever-action rifles • Pump-action shotguns
The deliberately limited weapon choice is part of the game. Expect close fights, slow reloads, limited firepower and plenty of proper Western shootouts.

But I don't have a cowboy load out? The charity shop is your friend, a check shirt and jeans will do for a start, it's the 1890s America a time where skill guile and even some diplomacy were of far more use than any camouflage and uniform.
Try to buy a cowboy hat, they are cheap enough on various sites and just help set the theme.
There will be a Shindig on the Saturday evening to which all will be made very welcome.
