Jan-Feb classes PAYG

Weekly swing dance classes. Learn Lindy Hop and Charleston as part of a friendly dance community.

6.45pm: Level 3 Lindy Hop/ Charelston course (Tarn Room- downstairs)

A 6 week course for more experienced dancers. We will cover various aspects of Lindy Hop and Charleston in more detail, including musicality, connection, flow and rhythm variations.
To join this class you need to be confident to social dance at different tempos, enjoy a challenge and want to work on the small details that improve our dancing. You need to be comfortable with pass bys, swing outs and lindy circles and familiar with 1920s and '30s Charleston.

Followed by social dancing/ practice room (downstairs) until 8.20pm

7.30pm: Level 1 Lindy Hop course (Lake Room- upstairs)
Suitable for complete beginners or those fairly new to swing dancing. We will cover the basics of 6 count Lindy Hop including pulse, connection and basic lead and follow of simplet moves.
This class is also open to Level 2 dancers who want to practise and consolidate the all important fundamentals or anyone wanting to learn a different dance role (lead/ follow).

8.20pm: Social dancing (all levels)

8.45pm: Level 2 Lindy Hop course

A course for dancers who have some previous experience of Lindy Hop or have completed our three beginner courses. We will focus on core Lindy Hop moves such as swing outs, Lindy circles, baskets and pass by variations. Gain confidence and skills for social dancing.

To join this class you need to be comfortable with 6 count and 8 count footwork plus pass bys. We also recommend more experienced dancers taking this class.
