This two hour workshop will focus on heart-opening and grounding practices, combining both static and dynamic postures. With a strong emphasis on alignment, we will incorporate a variety of props to help you find ease in challenging poses and explore the effect of posture on both body and mind. The session will conclude with a 20-minute Yoga Nidra, offering deep relaxation and integration.
Ankit's classes are designed to be accessible and challenging, with modifications offered for all levels. Whether you're new to yoga or experienced, this workshop will guide you in exploring the balance between strength and surrender, leaving you feeling open and grounded.
Ankit Bhardwaj began his yoga education in India, where he completed a Master's degree in Yoga, with a focus on traditional Hatha Yoga and philosophy. His teacher training was at the Himalayan Iyengar Yoga Centre under the guidance of Sharat, who was a student of B.K.S. Iyengar. Sharat later incorporated footwork into the practice, which has greatly influenced Ankit's own teaching style. He offers a blend of dynamic and static practices, with an emphasis on mindful movement and breath awareness. The aim is to make yoga accessible for all, balancing spiritual essence with a modern, holistic approach.
