Tag Sports CIC are delighted to be hosting the 2024 Corporate Challenge, with support from our partners at Try Tag Rugby.
The Corporate Challenge is the perfect opportunity to get your workmates together for a unique team building and networking experience whilst enjoying the sport you love. Teams will compete for Cup, Plate, Bowl and Shield titles, which allows your team to play at the correct level. Previous tournaments have attracted companies including Sky, Capgemini, Sport England, Accenture, JLL, Shell, Chaucer Group, Clintons and many more.
This is a charity event with the winners of each division invited to nominate the charity of their company's choice. Each divisional winner will have £500 to donate to their charity of choice, with a further £500 per division going to Tag Sports CIC. The donation to Tag Sports CIC will help us continue our work to increase the number of underrepresented groups having access to sport and physical activity. In previous years this event has raised up to £4000 for charity when 32 teams took part.
Tag Sports Programme Lead, Ben Shanahan-Sanders, said of the event, ‘The Corporate Challenge has become one of the most anticipated events on the Tag Rugby calendar and we are absolutely thrilled to be involved with the event going forward. The tournament will help provide vital funds for our work in increasing access to sport for underrepresented groups, and encapsulates the ethos of what we are about as an organisation. REGISTRATION
Registration is £350 for squads of 10. Companies can enter multiple squads in different divisions subject to seeding.
FORMAT
-Hosted by Tag Sports CIC with delivery assisted by regular Try Tag Rugby referees and event staff.
-All games will be played in the mixed 7-a-side format
-Maximum of 10 players per squad, maximum 4 male players on the pitch at any one time
-All players must be registered for insurance purposes
-Teams will be seeded based on submitted squads. Squads must be complete by 12pm, Thursday 14th March 2024.
-Seeding is done at the discretion of Tag Sports & Try Tag Rugby, incomplete squads may result in higher seeding than expected
-Regular Try Tag Rugby Rules apply for all divisions
-Consumption of alcohol is prohibited until the tournament has concluded
PRESENTATION & AFTER PARTY
On completion of the finals, the presentation will take place in the main clubhouse where we have exclusively booked the main member's bar area for everyone to enjoy some drinks and socialise till late in the evening. Food will be available but please note this should be pre-ordered at the time of registration for your team. Cost for food for a squad of 10 players is £105. To pre-book food please click here.
VENUE
This event will take place at Richmond Athletic Ground, Twickenham Rd, Richmond TW9 2SF, just a five minute walk from Richmond train station.
Full male and female changing facilities are available on site for use before, during and after the tournament. Please note that dogs are not permitted on site unless required for assistance purposes.
ON THE DAY
Teams will need to arrive for registration no later than 15:30pm with the first games starting at 16:00 sharp. Play will be completed by 19:45 with the after-match social running until midnight.
YOUR COMPANY BRANDED CUSTOM TEAM KIT / CUSTOM SHORTS
Represent your company in a fully customised and branded playing kit or shorts. Your shirts and shorts will be designed to your specification; ensuring colours are pantone matched to your company branding.
