NPQSL is a qualification that provides national recognition of your leadership development and professional achievement as a senior leader. The programme will support you in becoming a highly effective senior leader with the skills, confidence and knowledge to contribute to the strategic development of your school or organization as part of the senior leadership team.
Fully funded places are available to Leicester City school delegates who commit to their improvement task being one which matches the LeSP school improvement priorities. These are: Maths, English, EAL, and SEND.
(Other focus areas will be considered on a case by case basis)
Who is it for?
The NPQSL is aimed at individuals who not only have responsibility for leading a team, but are also involved in leading a range of issues that affect the whole school organization.
Duration:
The normal duration of the programme is 12-18 months. Participants are required to attend 7.5 face to face days over the course of the programme which cover the following content areas:
Leicester Teaching School is running two cohorts of 15 delegates, one due to start in the Autumn and one due to start in the Spring term. Full dates are to be confirmed but the induction day for each will be as follows:
Autumn Cohort Induction: Tuesday 31st October 2017
Spring Cohort Induction: Tuesday 20th March 2018

Please note that if you cancel your place on the programme less than two weeks before the induction date, or fail to attend, your school will still be invoiced for the full cost.
