Zoom Webinar

This is an online event.

Joining instructions will be provided after booking.

Details

This workshop aims to:

  • give all governors an introduction to this important topic and equip them with the knowledge needed to actively fulfill their duties in school
  • heighten commitment to the significance of effective safeguarding of children.
  • support governors in their duty to monitor and evaluate their school’s safeguarding policies and procedures.

The workshop is very important to all governing bodies and, due to the nature of the content, governors are encouraged to attend in pairs and to set aside time for reflection and action.

The Safeguarding for Governors workshop is facilitated by Nick Thornber. Nick has been a teacher in both primary and secondary schools, as well as being Head Teacher at a special school. He currently works on several DfE leadership development programmes and is a trained leadership coach.
