Level 3 First-aid at Work (3-Days)

Details

The First Aid at Work (FAW) course (combined with Paediatric First Aid) covers a range of CPR and first aid skills for both adults and children (no prior first aid knowledge is required). It equips employers and their staff with the knowledge and abilities to minimise risks and hazards in the workplace.

This three-day First Aid at Work also includes Paediatric First Aid and is for anyone over the age of 16 that has contact or works with both adults and children. This course combines two qualifications into one course.

RLSS UK’s First Aid at Work and Paediatric First Aid training is CIMSPA endorsed, which means it has been quality-assured by CIMSPA. RLSS UK is an active member of the First Aid Awarding Organisation Forum (FAAOF) whose remit is to collaborate on best practice and maintain quality to ensure the integrity and currency of regulated qualifications.

Full details of the qualifciation can be found at this link on the RLSS' website: https://www.rlss.org.uk/pfa-and-faw

Instructions

100% attendance is essential. The course will start at 9 am each day, finishing at 5 pm, incorporating breaks throughout.

Essentials to Bring:

  • Photo ID (passport, driving licence, work ID)
  • Notebook & pen – for taking notes
  • Comfortable clothing – you’ll spend time kneeling, bending, and practising CPR on the floor. Avoid tight or restrictive clothes.
  • Flat, comfortable shoes – trainers or similar are best (you’ll be moving around a lot).
  • Reading glasses (if needed) – you’ll be completing written assessments.

Optional but Helpful:

  • Reusable water bottle – courses can be long, and hydration helps with focus.
  • Light snacks – refreshments are provided but you might prefer your own snacks. Please let us know if you have any allergies so we can make the neccessary arrangements.
  • Hair tie – if you have long hair, it helps keep it out of the way during practicals.
  • Layers/jumper – We'll make the learning environment as comfortable as possible for you. Just to be on the safe side, wear suitable clothing and bring extra layers/a jumper if you think you might need it.
