Relax Kids in the Woods - Thorncombe Woods Autumn Session

Relax Kids in the Woods offers a way to safely feel part of a community outside whilst learning techniques that can help to support children's mental health. The classes will focus on beautiful mindful experiences in nature which help to ground the children, support mental health and promote relaxation and sense of calm.

Over 2 hours, there will be some grounding and movement exercises to start with, we will play some games and create some nature crafts, work on our breath and tuning into your senses, yoga, and self-massage. There will be a chance to explore the forest and a guided walk if there is time, then a relaxing meditation to finish the session. The children will also have a chance to chill and chat and get to know their peers and share a beautiful, bonding experience.

The cost is £18 per child, sessions starts at 10:30am and will be for around 2 hours. Parents are welcome to explore the woods themselves whilst waiting and there is a cafe and toilets on site. All that will be needed is a mat or blanket, suitable clothing and footwear, plus a drink and snack.

Sessions are suitable for children aged 5-14 years

Spaces are limited so payment is required to secure your space

You are able to drop your children off and collect them at the end, but if they need additional support and help during the session, we can sometimes accommodate parents staying, so please let me know if this is required
