Details

Step into the beautiful Bride room at Goddess House Glastonbury on Imbolc, her time of year, and join me to craft your Bridget drum in ceremony, honouring and beauty.

Bridget - known also as Bride, Brighde, Brigit and more - is the Goddess of healing. She of poetry, smithcraft, healing waters, she of the perpetual flame who gently warms the land. Bridget is sacred to much of Ireland and Scotland with her healing wells and sacred springs.

Anoint your drum with waters from her wells, create Brigid Crosses, infuse your drum with metal work, flame coloured textiles, crystals infused with her energy and more. Even our beater will be crafted of Rowan, the Ogham tree of this time with orange beater - symbolic of Brigid's flame.

We will work together, honouring the hoop and hide that come together for this sacred drum. Cutting, weaving, combining materials we will create both drum and beater.

There is also opportunity on 2nd February to visit the White Spring with our drums and present them to the Brigid Shrine there. I am awaiting response for a private space there 12:30-1:30pm, otherwise we can go when others are also permitted at 1:30pm.

There is a drum circle the evening before in Glastonbury also.
