Refresh your wardrobe for the new season in this creative, hands-on two-day workshop!
As the seasons begin to change, it's the perfect time to design and make a brand-new garment inspired by autumn. Think richer colour palettes, cosy fabrics and timeless styles as you create something you'll love wearing throughout the new season.
Students will choose from a selection of beginner-friendly patterns and learn key sewing techniques such as measuring, cutting fabric, following a pattern and constructing a garment. Depending on their chosen project, they'll also explore different fastening methods, including zips, buttons or elastic, and have the opportunity to personalise their design with pockets, trims or other creative details.
Suitable for complete beginners as well as those with some sewing experience, with plenty of individual guidance throughout. Most students will complete one garment over the two days, although quicker sewers may also have time to make a coordinating accessory using their leftover fabric.
