Spend a relaxing summer afternoon creating your very own handmade bag charm using fabric scraps and sustainable sewing techniques. Choose from a heart, bunny or another simple shape and transform leftover fabrics into a unique accessory for your favourite bag, backpack or keyring. If you prefer, you can also turn your creation into a miniature cushion for a teddy or doll.
Students will learn basic hand sewing techniques, stuffing, decorative stitching and simple finishing methods. There will also be the opportunity to personalise your project with hand embroidery, ribbon tie and sewn-on buttons, if time allows.
This is a gentle, beginner-friendly workshop, perfect for patient newcomers to sewing as well as those with some experience who fancy a calm and creative afternoon. Most of the workshop focuses on hand sewing, making it an ideal introduction to sewing skills while encouraging sustainability through the creative reuse of fabric offcuts.
All materials are provided, and every student will leave with a beautifully handmade keepsake to treasure or gift.
