Details

A Ra-ra skirt is a tiered mini skirt which originated in cheerleading. These lovely skirts have become very popular as they're easy to layer and style across all seasons. With the help of our experienced tutors, you will learn how to make your own! This workshop is suitable for beginners and the more advanced.

Skills you will learn:
Pinning, measuring and cutting
Gathering and shirring fabric
Hemming
Adding elastic
Accuracy
Machine and hand sewing
Using the industrial sewing machines and cover stitch machine

Level: Beginner Friendly, Mixed Ability

Instructions

We provide all equipment and materials. You are also welcome to bring in your own fabrics. Goldhawk Road in Shepherds Bush is a great place to buy fabrics.
Please bring with you a bottle of water and a snack/light lunch.
