Our new Home Education group for young people aged 11 and up is designed to offer hands-on, practical learning in the great outdoors. These sessions are all about building confidence, skills and friendships through meaningful, nature-based activities.
Each week, we'll explore a different theme – from seasonal gardening and outdoor DIY projects to nature walks, wild crafting and bushcraft. Expect plenty of opportunities to get stuck in with sowing, growing, building, creating, learning about local wildlife and having fun with like-minded peers.
This group is ideal for teens who enjoy practical activities, want to learn new skills outside of the classroom, and love being outdoors. Sessions are led by our friendly, experienced team who support each young person to explore at their own pace in a safe, welcoming space.
Please note that parents are required to stay for the entirity of the session. We encourage parents to get involved, but you are welcome to sit and enjoy a cup of tea/coffee on the sidelines! We are running a 6-week trial of this new session and if it proves popular, we will extend this to run all year round.

Car parking is in the main National Trust car park which is free for National Trust members or paid for at the machines upon arrival. Please note that this is available on RingGo, but the signal at Arlington is AWFUL so you're unlikely to be able to put parking on once you get here.
