We will be setting sail across the Firth of Clyde to the Isle of Arran for a week working across the Island. Working alongside the legendary Arran ranger team, we'll care for trees planted in the wild sweeping Glen Rosa, beneath the shadow of granite giants. We'll get involved with work on the network of paths across the island, enjoy breathraking views and keep our eyes peeled for golden eagles, otters, red squirrels and basking sharks. We'll explore the incredible geology on the island, see some of the oldest rocks in Scotland and experience the magic of this wild island.
This is an excellent opportunity for anyone that is interested in developing some ecological field skills, learning more about rewilding and ecosystem restoration or undertaking their Gold Duke of Edinburgh residential section.
Accommodation will be dormitory style, staying at Shore Lodge, near Brodick.
All meals are provided and we will be catered for during the week. Participants will be involved with the cooking and provision of meals through the week, leaders will help guide you with this!
