Modern Upholstery Five Day Intensive Masterclass

Learn modern upholstery techniques from a professional. Gabrielle Ara has run her own upholstery business for some years and is also a talented and experienced teacher. Bring a post-1950 chair to this five day class, and you will learn whatever skills you need to turn it into something glorious. You will learn about modern upholstery materials and fixings, and, depending on your chosen project, you could also learn machine skills, pattern making, button and fluting, and box cushion making.

Techniques you could learn on this course, depending on your chosen project, include machine skills, pattern making, and buttoning and fluting, and box cushion making. This could be the beginning of a new and lucrative hobby.

The class size is restricted to six, so you will get plenty of attention. The session runs for five consecutive days, from 10.00am to 4.00pm each day. Please note: this course starts on Sunday 23rd August, and the last day is Thursday 27th August 2026.
