History: the practice of yoga goes back several centuries if not millennia, but the yoga wheel is a relatively modern concept. This is a class of active and/or passive stretching activities. We may use equipment or just our bodies.
The studio has its own bespoke yoga wheels; students are welcome to bring their own.
Other equipment items include resistance bands of various lengths, and foam rollers (provided in studio).
drop-in class option: £5.
Online class option: £4.
Recording: £3.
Level: ALL LEVELS, MIXED ABILITIES
This event is for women only.
Please wear loose, comfortable sports clothes, with no metal clasps at the back as they can dig into the wheel, despite the fact that our wheels are bespoke and made of sustainable wood and cork.
If your hair is long, please wear it in a bun or ponytail.
You can bring your own yoga wheel and mat, but they are provided if you prefer to use ours.
General Notes
• Remove all jewellery before class (it can damage equipment and cause injury).
• Do not use body lotion or cream before class.
• Bring water – staying hydrated is essential.
• Arrive no more than five minutes early because there could be another class before yours, or the instructors may still be setting up. If you are not let in immediately, it is likely that nobody is available to open the door, so please be patient, we shall be with you as soon as possible.
• Listen to your body – rest when needed and let your instructor know about any injuries.
Ages: 5 to adult. NB: children (5-12) need to be accompanied by a paying adult.
Terms & Conditions
By booking a class, you agree to our T&Cs.
• Cancellations: No refunds or transfers if cancelled less than 48h before class (24h for online classes). With more than 48h/24h notice, we’ll try to move your booking within the same month (subject to availability).
• Refunds: Any refund issued (for any reason other than the studio's own cancellation) incurs a 5% payment platform cancellation fee.
• SPECIFIC ONLINE CLASS DISCLAIMER: insurance limitations bind online booking. Failure to use a crash mat may invalidate our insurance. Aerial arts are considered "high risk sports" and activities taking place relatively high off the floor may not be covered as spotting is not possible online. It is a very grey area, and insurances are struggling to let us know what is covered and what isn't, but the general rule seems to be, if it's an advanced/challenging move you have never attempted before, without proper mats, it will not be covered.
